Get to Know Me

Hi! Welcome to my blog! I’m Adeline, but you can just call me Adel instead.

This is my sweetest escape, my personal modern diary, and a place where I put all my heart and soul into.

I am an Indonesian! I am a 15 years old and I was born in the 01’s.

My biggest interest goes to anything related to words. Stories, articles, poems, quotes, song lyric, metaphors, everything.

I hate numbers. That is why I hate Math and Physics.Does not mean I am bad at it though, I just don’t enjoy the process of learning it.

I used to write a diary since I was in third grade until now. Currently, I am keeping a journal and an agenda full of all my random thoughts. My deepest secrets.

But then I thought it would be way funner to share it to the world. To the INTERNET.

So, now, you may ask to yourself, why do this blog’s name is MIZZLE AND CIRRUS?

Here’s a story. I happened to read a short story in my magazine, and the story was about a girl named Mizzle and a guy named Cirrus. There was an excerpt from the story that I like so much. It was in Indonesian though.

Mizzle artinya gerimis. Cirrus artinya awan tipis. Setiap awan akan melebur menjadi gerimis. Aku juga akan tetap dengan hati ini. Akan tetap menunggu

Second, I am really obsessed with this poem by one of Indonesian most legendary poet, Sapardi Djoko Damono, which was titled “Aku Ingin” or “I Want”. The poem was also about cloud and rain and how the cloud makes sacrifices for the rain who made it gone.

Aku ingin mencintaimu dengan sederhana;
dengan isyarat yang tak sempat disampaikan awan kepada hujan yang menjadikannya tiada

Third, I once found this quote on the internet and I instantly in love with it. It was also about rain.

Kau tau hal paling romantis dari hujan? Ia selalu mau kembali, meski tau rasanya jatuh berkali-kali

“You know what is the most romantic thing about the rain? It always come back, even thought it knows how it felt to fall over and over again.”

So, to me, rain and cloud is probably the most romantic components in this world with all their metaphors. So that was how I decided to named it after both of it, Mizzle and Cirrus.

I hope you guys will enjoy my posts and somehow relate to it! Happy reading!
